The working environment
Much of our work is project based, and everything we do is focused on solving problems for our clients. As a graduate or industrial placement student, you could be involved at any stage in the consulting process – from sitting down with the client and establishing what the problem is, through designing, building and testing the solution, to the point where you actually roll out and manage whatever the right solution entails.
Breadth as well as depth
The range of projects is very broad, from a couple of people carrying out a few days of consultancy, to a team of several hundred developing and supporting a system over many years. This breadth gives you the chance to work in different areas as your career progresses. We don’t have set job roles or fixed job descriptions, so an open mind is important. The variety of our work means we may not able to tell you exactly what you’ll be doing when you first join us. On the flip side, the range of experiences open to you encourages you to gain new skills and discover which areas of the sector might particularly suit you and your aspirations.
Plan your own route
Your first few years in Logica are likely to be a real learning experience, and where you end up is largely down to you. There’s plenty of support to help you along the way though, so if you have the drive and commitment then the prospects are incredibly exciting.
