More than just work
We know how important it is to have a fulfilling life outside of work, and this is especially true of our graduate population. You may have relocated to a new city in order to begin your career with us, and you will probably know only a handful of people in the company on your first day. That will change very quickly. You’ll spend your first few days meeting other new joiners on the induction course, along with more experienced staff and members of the management team, so your network will start to grow from day one.
We’re more sociable
And it doesn’t stop there. We have a range of activities that you can get involved with.
- GrIP – the Graduate and Industrial Placement Network
Organised by graduates and IPs, this network meets regularly on a purely social basis and provides a good way to stay in touch with the graduate community. - The Logica Sports and Social Club (LSSC)
This operates a bit like the societies you may be familiar with at university. A full- time coordinator helps organise a massive range of clubs and societies, many of them subsidised by the company. The actual events are organised by members of staff and are not only great fun, but a good way to meet people with similar interests. So whether you fancy playing football at the Logica World Cup, getting subsidised tickets to a music festival, walking down the red carpet at a film premiere or sampling fine wine and champagne with the wine society, there will be an event for you. - A range of project and business based events. Often these include a social element such as Christmas parties.
At the end of the day the success of all these events is down to the staff who take part. You’ll find we’re a friendly place to work. Even though we’ve grown into a very large company, we work hard to make sure there’s a good working atmosphere at the project level, so you really feel you fit in.
