Energy, Utilities & Telecoms (EUT)
Whether they’re oil companies, gas and electricity suppliers or water and waste management specialists, energy and utilities organisations are being challenged to deliver their services more efficiently and to a higher standard than ever before. As the biggest supplier of IT services to these organisations, we offer unrivalled knowledge and experience. For proof, look no further than the fact that our software controls 80% of the UK’s underground gas storage; or that we manage complex networks of critical IT applications across more than 20 countries and five continents for our oil and gas customers.

In telecoms, we work with all the big names – both fixed-line and mobile – delivering wireless messaging and multimedia products as well as billing, payment and customer management solutions. We were the first to take an SMS service to market, while our work in the field of business intelligence continues to help operators understand and build more effective relationships with their customers.

Financial Services (FSB)
Financial institutions are quick to recognise the potential of new technology. As a result, financial services is the largest spending sector in the UK. Customer-centric strategies and a growing emphasis on compliance demand innovative technology and enlightened business solutions. Our work here has a direct impact on everyday lives. For instance, we’ve worked with 40 of the world’s top 50 banks and help send some £15 trillion around the world every day.

Industry, Distribution & Transport (IDT)
Aerospace. Automotive. Manufacturing. Construction . Transport. Retail. Leisure. Our work here spans perhaps our most diverse cross-section of clients. During a typical project, we’d transform a client's IT infrastructure, then deliver its IT service to the rest of the business. Our expertise also encompasses innovative technologies ranging from wireless and mobile, and mobile ticketing to Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Biometrics.

Public Sector
The drive for a more cohesive government with closer links between different public bodies and the communities they serve has prompted massive IT investment throughout this sector. We’ve worked closely with the likes of the Environment Agency, the Crown Prosecution Service, the Department of Trade and Industry, OFSTED and more. In one major project for the NHS we created one of the largest databases in the world.

Space & Defence
In Defence, we’ve revolutionised everything from business systems and information management to the battlespace itself. While our management and control software lies at the heart of the European space industry’s navigation and communication systems, producing the weather satellite images seen by more than two billion people across the globe. Central to our work in this area is one of the largest groups of security specialists in Europe.
