Our background

We’ve achieved our position as a leading international force in IT services by having clear objectives and a focused strategy to help us achieve them. Our objectives are to:

  • Be a top ten player in IT services worldwide
We’re already the second largest European-listed IT services company by market capitalisation and a global top 20 IT services company by revenue.
  • Increase our major revenue and profit generating centres in Europe to four
Our recent acquisitions of Unilog in France (2006) and WM-data in the Nordic region (2007) have now added another two profit generating centres to those we already operate in the UK (Logica) and the Netherlands (CMG).
  • Achieve 30% to 40% of our revenue from value based outsourcing
Our revenue from outsourcing now accounts for a significant proportion of total group revenue.
  • Establish a balanced market sector profile
This will allow us to exploit our expertise in repeatable solutions and different industries while reducing our exposure to the vagaries of industry economic trends. In addition, we’ll continue to develop our ability to deliver services to customers across the world in line with the trend towards globalisation of the IT services market.
  • Invest in a powerful global delivery capability
Over the last few years we’ve invested heavily in developing our global delivery services capability. By the end of 2005 we’d grown our Indian based resources to over 2,000 staff and continued growth is planned. Our acquisition of both Unilog and WM-data extended this strong local customer capability.
